Earlier this month, Lyongo was one of the lucky ones who was allowed to tour Amsterdam with a group of experts to see the 10 contenders for the Amsterdam Architecture Prize.
About the award
Ten buildings have been selected by the Amsterdam Architecture Center (Arcam) for the Amsterdam Architecture Award (Amsterdamse Architectuurprijs; A.A.P.). These ten nominees will be discussed in different programs.
Arcam awards an annual prize for the best building and client. The prize is an important indicator of what is delivered in Amsterdam, what is going on in the construction sector, how policy is physically reflected in architecture and how designers and clients deal with it. With this award, initiator Arcam wants to stimulate public debate about Amsterdam architecture. The award ceremony will take place on April 25 in De Duif, Amsterdam.
