Lyongo is one of the speakers at the festival ‘What design can do’. The event will take place on 5 July at Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ in Amsterdam and it will feature an immersive program of talks and workshops on design and climate justice.
During one of the break-out sessions Lyongo will join the session ‘Designing Beyond Borders’. There he will share his view on a sense of beloning and how design or architecture can contribute to that.
About the event
What Design Can Do (WDCD) is an international organisation that seeks to accelerate the transition to a sustainable, fair and just society using the power of design. Based in Amsterdam, with hubs in São Paulo, Mexico City, Delhi, Nairobi and Tokyo, WDCD started in 2011.
On 5 July there will be plenary talks at the main stage and in the afternoon the attendees (about 700) will join different breakout sessions. You can check the speakers and full program on the website.
