Recent photos from the construction site of Blue Bay Hills Residences in Curacao showcase exciting progress. The finishing touches on the facade have officially started, marking an important milestone. Several color options were tested to ensure the final choice would complement both the project and its natural surroundings.
We’re happy that the facade is in it’s finishing stage. As well as the pool area, with almost the entire pool now covered in natural stone. A distinctive design element is the rock wall, which extends down to the ground, visually connecting the natural landscape with the constructed walls. With these thoughtful design elements, Blue Bay Hills Residences stands as a prime example of contemporary Caribbean architecture.
Design choices
Earlier updates shared details about the six penthouses of Blue Bay Hills Residences, which are linked to the parking and entry areas by bridges. Those bridges were starting to show last time. Now you can see how these bridges are shaping the luxurious appearance of the project.
The material selection for the project centers around warm, natural, earthy tones. This has resulted in extensive use of wood or low-maintenance wood derivatives, as well as the reuse of stones unearthed during excavation. Sand-colored walls, dark bronze window frames, and warm red-brown roof tiles together create a harmonious overall aesthetic.
The development consists of 18 apartments and six penthouses spread across six blocks, each containing four apartments. The buildings are strategically positioned along the slope of the hill, with a slight twist to guarantee unobstructed sea views. A height difference of nearly 1.5 meters between apartments ensures optimal privacy.
